Nasi Goreng & Bami Goreng

I didn’t write that wrong, that’s how it’s written on the board. Tadi siang makan di Market di Rideau Center. Pas lagi pilih-pilih, terlihat tulisannya “Nasi Goreng, Indonesian stir-fry curry chicken with vegetables and rice” (of course with rice, that’s why they call it Nasi Goreng!), dan “Bami Goreng, Indonesian stir-fry chicken with vegetables and rice noodles” (What the hell is BAMI? It’s supposed to be BAKMI, you really have to learn how to spell it before you sell it to people.” Hmm…

Dan kemudian gw penasaran (dan kangen masakan Indo), gw beli deh itu Nasi Goreng. And then, dissapointed (I knew I should have choose that probably-yummy New York Steak!). It tasted like … nothing actually. It didn’t look like nasi goreng, it didn’t taste like nasi goreng. It was pretty much taste like packed rice I bought at Loeb couple weeks ago. And it cost me $9! Huaaa… makin kangen sama nasi goreng abang-abang. And you know what, they served it with GARLIC BREAD, yes, GARLIC BREAD! We eat Nasi Goreng with CRACKERS not with GARLIC BREAD (actually, the garlic bread is so much better than the fried rice. I finished the bread, but I didn’t finish that fake nasi goreng.)

Well, berani skali orang itu pake nama Indonesia,

padahal makanannya beda banget. Kenapa mereka ga belajar dulu dari yang asli, sebelum dijual, mungkin bagi mereka enak, tapi ga sama skali. Huh, jadi bete sendiri gara-gara nasi goreng palsunya.
